RULE ADJUSTMENT FOR LIMITED (SEMI-LATE), STREET STOCK (CADET), HOBBY STOCK DIVISIONS:
Hobby Stock Rule Changes: There are multiple variances in Hobby Stock divisions across the region, so we are adapting the following rule changes, effective immediately:
1) ALL CARS MUST WEIGH 3400 LBS.
2) If you run headers and/or 9" rear, you must add 100 LBS of weight to your car.
3) FLOATER REAR ENDS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
4) BEADLOCKS will NOT BE PERMITTED.
5) 4 bbl. carbs WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Stock two barrel Rochester carburetors with no modifications. One and three eighth (1-3/8) Venturi size will be checked with a calibrated go / no-go gauge. Two barrel carbs can be mounted to a stock four barrel manifold using an adapter plate no thicker than 1 inch. Any adapter or spacer may be no more than 1" thick.

This PDF will be similar to, but not exact, to the Challenger rule set. We are trying to keep our Hobby Stock division as close to the orginial idea for Hobbies as possible.

Street Stocks are permitted to run up to a 12" steel ONLY wheel.
TIRE RULES: These rules are very similar to most area speedways. This rule is being implemented for safety, durability, and economic reasons. American Racer 44, Hoosier 15/1300 or harder allowed. NOTHING SOFTER. Must durometer a 32 at any time. Track durometer is official measuring device.
Semi-Lates (Limiteds) who claim the Open 2,500 weight are only permitted one (1) 2 barrel carburetor ONLY. 4 barrels carbs on the Open 2,500 class are prohibited. Those claiming the Open 2,500 category may run an 8" spoiler. This adjustment only affects the Open 2,500 weight category.

In order to clarify the 32 durometer reading: American Racer 44, Hoosier 15/1300 and Goodyear eqivalent (for those in FASTRAK crate class) or harder allowed. NOTHING SOFTER.
Hobby Stocks may only run a Medium or Hard Compound E-Mod style tire.

Hobby Stocks (Sport Stocks): Challenger Raceway's combined 2009 Sport Stock rules will apply for the 2009 Western Maryland Nationals event.
